WHY MEDITATION MATTERS
Let's talk about the real shit: According to a recent study at Harvard Medical School and the University of Queensland, one in every two people in the world will develop a mental health disorder in their lifetime. That’s half of the world’s population!
No matter what particular mental health struggles you might be dealing with, you’re not alone.
Meditation doesn't magically erase mental health difficulties, BUT it can help you manage them with greater ease. A practice like meditation gives you the authority to bring your thoughts into the present moment, practice gratitude, and become more in touch with your truest, most authentic self - results that can make positive impacts on your mental health.
ABOUT YOUR GUIDE
I know about mental health difficulties because I’ve experienced them firsthand.
I first turned to meditation when I started experiencing mental health struggles after my mother was diagnosed with cancer (she is healthy now!). Her diagnosis was a wake up call that made me appreciate how precious life is, and how I wasn’t being present in my own. When I started practicing meditation, everything changed. I began not giving as much attention to negative thoughts, feeling more at peace, and living more in the moment, something that was completely new to me.
During my career as a tech sales executive with growing work demands, two young kids at home, and continued family health challenges occurring all at once, I consistently reached for the trusted tools of meditation to keep me calm while trying to manage it all.
For over fifteen years, I have been practicing meditation daily, learning from the world's best mindfulness teachers, and leading thousands of employees globally through my signature workshops and meditations. As a Corporate Meditation Leader & Mindfulness Speaker, I now work with companies like Microsoft, Salesforce, Deloitte, and more to support the inner peace and outer performance of their number one company asset: people.
I also support individuals through one-on-one meditation guidance, monthly group meditation memberships, and more.
